Fast Company Logo With a magazine name like Fast Company, you would think that their subscriptions department would be, well fast, right? Or at least a goal of decreasing delivery wait times would be nice, especially with the rising number of magazine publications calling it quits everyday. However, I suppose I’m mistaken when it comes to the Mansueto Ventures publication.

Despite over a month’s time after placing our new subscription for a FastCompany/Inc. magazine bundle online, we still have yet to actually receive the popular business publication. Instead, it appears that the company has felt the action of snail mailing letters to us is of more importance:

I understand trying to get some more cash from the new kids on the block, but I’m finding it to be a bit hard to come up with reasons as to why I’d want to renew something I have never even received.

So far, the only thing FastCompany has seemed to do in a relatively swift motion is take the cash and run with it, and not anywhere near our mailbox as we’re still waiting.

Update: 10/17/08

Within less than 12 hours of this posting I received an email from one of the staff members at FastCompany:

Hi Vanessa,

A colleague saw your blog, and we felt it necessary to get in touch with you.  I’m sorry your experience with Fast Company has not been a pleasant one thus far.  I informed our head of circulation about your situation, in the hopes we can prevent this happening to other readers.  I would like to send you the most recent copies of the magazine, so you don’t miss out on anything.  If you could provide the proper mailing address, I will send it out to you today.

Kudos to FastCompany!
