There are times when I run across an artist whose work leaves me in complete awe and wanting more; lucky for me Todd Lawson is one of those artists. A few months back I had the pleasure of interviewing him as a featured artist on IMPnow.com which included questions about his inspirations and future endeavors. Since then I’ve been eagerly awaiting his illustrated book Songbird. The thought of him creating a 54-page illustrated novel makes me giddy because his work never disappoints.

Now, I’m not sure about you, but besides coffee I believe every morning should include awesome art in some shape or form. So, this morning I was delighted to come across Todd’s latest batch of work titled The Alice Collections featuring mini portraits of a few Alice in Wonderland characters, only Todd Lawson-ized. I’d be lying if I had to confess which one is my favorite because I can’t choose; they’re all incredibly eerie and captivating all in one.

Prior to these mini portraits, Todd released images of his custom vinyl mini munny series (titled the 2008 Swim Team) which, as far as I know, can still be purchased for $125 each or $450 for the set. They’d make the perfect office desk accessory, no?

As always, I continuously look forward to what he surprises his fans with; although I’m still hoping Todd will do another Nintendo-related piece, since I have a feeling that my Link vs. Gannon piece by Scott Belcastro is a little lonely.

If you dig what you’ve seen from Todd Lawson, be sure to become a fan of his on Facebook and also check out his store where you can show your support and buy a piece or two.
